Welcome from the Head of Post 16
Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and wish you every success over the coming year in our new Harris East Dulwich, Post Sixteen Provision. This provision will be a unique Federation between Harris Girls’ Academy and Harris Boys’ Academy providing academic and personal excellence for all.
As Vice Principal, I am very excited about working with you all, and want our Post Sixteen to be the first choice for students. We will be known for our outstanding academic achievement, innovative approach to curriculum and most importantly, equipping our students with the skills required to meet the ever changing challenges that society holds.

Harris East Dulwich will inspire you to achieve your dreams and give you the skills and knowledge to make informed choices throughout life. Pathways to university will not be an aspiration but a matter of course for our students. It is a well established fact that by the time we reach 2020, 40% of all jobs will require a graduate qualification.
You are joining a Post Sixteen Federation that has an ethos based on professionalism and mutual respect. You will be held accountable for your performance, through extremely high expectations and aspirations. However you will receive excellent support and mentoring to ensure you realise those aspirations. This will enable you to achieve your true potential and allow you to access all opportunities in life with confidence.
I look forward to working with you. I am genuinely excited about what we can achieve as a team over the coming months and years. Every journey will have its ups and downs, but this journey we will take together and together we will celebrate our achievements.

General Welcome
In Harris East Dulwich Post 16 we offer a friendly sixth form, with small group teaching and one-to-one support from tutors.
From September 2010 Harris East Dulwich Girls’ Academy is embarking on an exiting new joint sixth form partnership with Harris East Dulwich Boys’ Academy, this new partnership means we can offer a full and comprehensive range of Post 16 academic, vocational and enrichment courses for boys and girls. We welcome students of all abilities and backgrounds.
We encourage our students to take up the many opportunities we offer. These include leadership, enterprise and contribution to the local, national and international communities. For example in June 2009 ten sixth formers will went to Uganda.
We do everything we can to prepare students for life beyond school. We want them to leave us with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the future.
